Bringing change in Europe and at home.....

I've written an article for the Conservative Party's Blue Blog on the national Euro campaign launch in Lancashire earlier this week, campaigning in the South West and the need for an immediate general election. You can read it here: http://www.conservatives.com/News/Blogs/Bringing_change_to_Europe.aspx. The Web Cameron video of the launch is available at: http://www.conservatives.com/Video/Webcameron.aspx?id=98db905f-1140-43c2-ba05-93672a71b5f1.

I'm disappointed that this election for MEPs seems to be all about Westminster. Whatever is happening there, MPs are becoming increasingly irrelevant as the EU takes more and more real power away from its state governments. Only UKIP seem to be campaigning on this issue.

This is not helped by this Conservative unreal policy that I received this month. Please Conservative Party, stop ignoring The Elephant in the Room and start campaigning about the real issue - the take over of British Sovereignty by the EU and its anti-freedom suffocating policies.

" The EU does much that is worthwhile. The Single Market allows services, workers and goods to move freely across Europe. The tangible benefits such as cheaper telephone calls, air travel and internet access are enjoyed by tens of millions of Britons.

The EU also provides a unique means for us to work together with our European partners on shared challenges which Europe’s nation states by themselves cannot deal with; and with enlargement, the goal of EU membership has persuaded not just governments but whole societies to raise their standards across the board. Britain has an enormous amount to gain through co-operation and free trade in Europe. That is why we want Britain to be a positive participant in the EU, championing liberal values.
