Suffice it to say that 2009 will be a very important year and the June elections are immensely important.

I cannot see the elite agreeing to that in any form. It's going to be an interesting 6 months

Update on my previous comment, I see that todays FT says
"Mr Cameron told the Financial Times that in such circumstances "we could have a referendum in October" on the treaty, in which he would lead the campaign for a No vote. The "moderately eurosceptic" Tory leader expects to win that vote.",
That is encouraging. I for one will hold him to it, if Gordon brown does declare an election.
